Water Treatment
Many plant managers and contract managers of local authorities
do not have the time and resources to monitor the water systems of their
offices, factories, etc. to HSE requirements and Legionella measures.
This can also apply to housing developments (new work) or existing
housing i.e. council houses, forces married quarters.
We can undertake to carry out reports, sterilisation of hot and cold water systems, etc. with records and reminders for updating. The type of work carried
out by qualified engineers is as follows:-
- Identifying from plans areas of possible microbiological
proliferation.
- Taking water temperature readings with probes.
- Calculating optimum water storage capacities for systems.
- Recommending modifications to plumbing systems.
- Recommending methods of cleaning water systems.
- Using dipslides to test for the presence of microbiological
organisms.
- Testing water for PH levels.
- Calculating and applying appropriate sterilising solutions.
- Testing for chlorine residuals.
- Establishing records of systems maintenance.
Certificates are issued on completion and a log is kept.
The areas we cover are Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and Hampshire.
